Tallinn Data Week – Guest FAQ
1. What is the nature of the conference?
Tallinn Data Week runs from September 29 to October 3 and consists of a series of independent events across the city. The week begins with a single opening day, followed by three separate sessions each day from Tuesday to Thursday, held at different locations. Friday concludes the week with two sessions and a closing event designed for networking and collaboration with no scheduled presentations.
2. What is the content and language of the events?
Each day focuses on a specific aspect of Data - from engineering to analytics to science. All sessions are held in English, except for Friday, which features two sessions in Estonian.

3. How do I get between venues?
Transport between venues is not provided, but all locations are reachable via public transportation. There is a 60-minute buffer between the end of one event and the start of the next. Limited parking is available at most venues.
4. What are the parking options?
On the opening day there is a free parking available throughout the event with mandatory registration.
NB! There is road construction going on very near T1 mall, which slows down rush hour traffic considerably. Please consider using public transportation - there is a tram and even a train option within 2 minutes of the venue.
All the following events will feature limited parking space at the location, mostly for a fee. Please follow the displayed parking rules on sites.
5. How do I attend the events?
All events are free, but pre-registration is mandatory. You must present your QR code ticket on-site on each entry.
Registration to events remains open until capacity is reached. Once registration closes, no additional entry is possible.
In case the ticket cannot be presented on arrival, it is possible to look it up from the system on site.
The BCS Training event on Friday will also offer free videostream for online following, other events will be on-site only.
6. What should I know about the main event?
The main event takes place at the T1 Conference Venue, 3rd floor of T1 Mall in Tallinn.
Main event starts at 9:45am, entry is available from 9:15am.
T1 mall and parking opens at 8am, but there are no cafeterias open before the start of the conference
There is free parking available in T1 at any internal parking spaces, but with with registration at the parking kiosk inside the conference venue. Without registration, standard T1 parking rules and fees apply (4h free parking from the time of arrival with max fee of 6€ per 24h). T1 has automated plate recognition system, so marking your arrival time in car is not mandatory even if you arrive early (although it is suggested).

A 75-minute lunch break is scheduled mid-event. T1 hosts a variety of restaurants with global cuisines. Please do not bring food into the main conference area.
Upon each entry into the venue be prepared to show your QR code ticket either on phone or as printout.
7. Is catering provided on the Tuesday to Friday sessions?
Most venues includes a self-catering area with complimentary coffee and snacks. Nearby restaurants offer lunch and dinner options.
Ending event is held at Hiiu Õlletuba with food and drinks available for purchase.
8. How can I participate interactively?
Use your phone for interactive participation. Submit questions and feedback via the Mentimeter app.
9. How is my privacy protected?
Your registration information is only used for event management purposes, unless you opted in receiving marketing information during the registration. Any interaction during the events will not be stored and will not be used for later communications. When in doubt, please ask for guidance on your contact data usage prior of sharing it during the events from event organizers.
